Screen Printing

for All Types of Clothing

Customized Screen printing produces vibrant and bold designs that are perfect for promoting your business or charity. It can also create durable designs for your sports team or group events.

Screen printing involves creating a stencil (screen), and then using that stencil to apply layers of ink on the printing surface. Each colour is applied using a different stencil, one at a time, combined to achieve the final look. When creating a design, keep in mind the more colours in use will increase the cost of the project.

What is Screen Printing?

Screen printing is a method of decorating custom apparel using inks, which are passed through a mesh screen to achieve your design. In screen printing, your logo or design is exposed onto the screen, washed out, set-up on our press, and using a squeegee-type blade the ink is passed through the screen onto the shirt.

What kind of ink do you use?

Terry Trophy uses Plastisol inks that are free from harmful phthalates and lead which are verified and laboratory tested to the highest standards in the world. in our decorating process, we use natural and biodegradable products and chemicals.

What if I want to use a previous artwork design?

You can use previous artwork at no charge; if we have it on file you don’t have to upload it again. We keep the files for you.

The artwork charge is for our artist to prepare a custom logo design for screen printing, by separating each colour on a separate layer, creating base and colour layers, and then highlighting them. They also have to make sure that each layer has crop marks, registration marks, colour info, screen mesh info, and print sequence.

Do you offer Youth sizes?

Yes! Terry trophy offers a number of youth custom apparel items, from custom t-shirts to sweatshirts, shorts and youth caps. Many of our youth styles also have matching adult items.

What is the minimum quantity to order?

For screen printing, we require a minimum of 12 items.

Digi Print

We are also able to print photographs so you can save your favourite memories on a shirt or other items of clothing.

Direct To Garment

for COTTON CLOTHING ONLY

Terry Trophy & Awards can bring your photo or design to life with Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing.

Direct To Garment is a technically advanced printing method that allows any type of digital artwork to be printed directly from computers to cotton garments, with the use of specialized printing hardware. There is no design limitation for the digital printing itself, which means you can print any design and colour. However, DTG printing is limited to cotton fabrics only so the water based inks can properly adhere to the garment. DTG is create for small runs, on-offs, or bright and colorful designs.

Custom Vinyl

For all types of clothing

Terry Trophy & Awards can complete your team’s look with vinyl names and number on your jerseys, or design a one of a kind shirt for a unique gift.

The heat transfer printing method applies custom designs to items like T-shirts or tablecloths through a process that used a combination of heat and pressure. Common kinds of heat transfer printing include vinyl heat transfer and digital print heat transfer, with the vinyl heat transfer process, a machine us used to cut out designs and letters in pieces of coloured vinyl. A heat press is then used to transfer each vinyl colour of the design onto the object being printed. With digital print heat transfer, the desired graphic is first digitally printed on special heat transfer paper using a solvent ink. This type of ink allows the design to be transferred from the paper to the item being printed when pressed with heat. With both these types of heat transfer, a heat press machine will be needed to transfer the graphic, either vinyl or digitally printed, from one surface to another, this magical combination of heat and pressure that transfers the design!

What is Embroidery?

Embroidery is a popular decoration method where your logo or design is sewn onto a garment using a needle and thread. Embroidered images are sewn right on to the garment, so they’re forever & very durable.

A characteristic of embroidery is that the basic techniques of stitches, chain stitch, buttonhole or blanket stitch, running stitch, satin stitch, cross stitch –remain the fundamental techniques of hand embroidery today.

Machine embroidery, arising in the early stages of the industrial revolution, mimics hand embroidery, especially in the use of chain stitches, but the satin stitches and hemming stitches in machine embroidery rely on the use of multiple threads and resemble hand work in their appearance, not their construction.

Why do we choose the embroidery stuff from Terry Trophy & awards?

Embroidery is the art of or handicraft of decorating fabric or other materials with needle and thread or yarn.

Pretty much any custom artwork can be materialized by using artistic combination of thread colors, types, directions, as well as supplementary materials to create special effects.

Ours embroidery process is fully automated using top of the line Tajima machines and GUNOLD threads.

You can embroider your logo on custom hats, hoodies, shirts, jackets and bags. We also can do direct embroidery, headband embroidery, 3D puff embroidery, Embroidery patch, woven label, cut-to-shape embroidery patch, appliqué and Special effect stitch, woven label. If you have any questions, please contact us or visit our store. We’ll be delighted to help you!

Why is there a setup charge for Custom Embroidery?

Embroidery is essentially done by a sewing machine with all of the elements one expects-like a needle, bobbin and thread. But unlike standard sewing machines which essentially sewing in straight lines, an embroidery machine can sew patterns. Therefore, someone or something has to tell the embroidery machine where and when to sew a stitch in order to create a pattern like a logo.

The set-up or digitizing process represents a real cost for companies that do embroidery. It requires a very expensive piece of software and a highly trained person to do it right.

This is why embroidery companies charge a setup fee.

Good embroidery starts with good digitizing. The best companies hire people who are highly skilled and experienced to get the best possible setup of a logo for embroidery.

The good news is that once a logo has gone through this set-up or digitizing process, that file can be used over and over again on future orders without having to incur the cost again.

What is Engraving?

Engraving is the process by which materials such as metals, glass, and wood are etched with text and designs using a diamond cutting process. Engravers have two main parts — a spindle and a cutting tool. They work together to cut into the materials and engrave images or text. In cutter engraving machines, the image or text to be engraved is entered into a computer software program that reads the data and transmits it to the machine to cut into the material. The flexible nature of the cutter engraver allows us to personalize a large array of gifts.
